oh wow the day korra comes back I will be flying
… Maybe I can download it at my connection in Portland and then watch it on the way to Spokane…
I got volunteered(press-ganged) into helping at a festival on Saturday. I get to wake up at 6 AM and run a bounce house for a bunch of Meelos. I may or may not murder all of them.

Batman & Poison Ivy: Cast Shadows
Compassionate!Bruce is my favorite Bruce. He understands his rogues much more than he’d like to admit, even to himself. Each of his rogues is a foil to a certain attribute within himself, an opposite-but-equal rivalry that syncs his obsessions with theirs. So many of his rogues perform specifically for him. So, I like it when we get moments where he truly tries to help them, to keep them from falling into their cycles and compulsions. The no-kill rule exists in part because he wants to save everyone, his enemies included. It isn’t empty compassion.
This is why I think the nature of comics really hinders the Bruce/Villain relationship. Occasionally, one needs to be saved. That would make Batman’s job insanely difficult rather than the impossible mission of an obsessed fool, and if done right, it will show that many of Batman’s villains remain evil because on some level they want to. Batman travels the city and punches escaped mental patients in the face. We need to see a couple villains choosing good so that we can know that the rest of them did choose evil, rather than having it forced on them.
The storyline with PI Riddler is perfect IMO, because it means that Batman, occasionally, can win. It shows that his villains can redeem themselves, if they put in the effort. That both validates Batman’s life choice and makes him far more morally justified. I haven’t read this particular book(Kitty, link?), but this looks to do some of the same with Pamela. Too bad Status Quo is God rules the comics universes.

Now, the main commentary on this image I’ve seen is Asami grabbing onto Korra and burying her head in her hair and rubbing against her girlf- Excuse me. Got a bit off track there.
Let’s look at the context. Why are the 2 of them next to each other? The Krew is riding Naga. Clearly, Korra should be in front, it’s her mount. Mako holding on to Korra could be awkward, so him not being second makes sense. But even after the drama, Korra and Bolin are fairly comfortable with each other. Why isn’t he holding on to her? It has nothing to do with bending, he can’t touch the ground anyways. If it were about protecting Asami(read: if they were planning for combat), Mako would be at the back so he had the most freedom of movement. No, Korra and Asami wanted to be next to each other. I’ll admit there could be other reasons, but I think the implications are fairly clear. ;)

All of the robins fighting on the same side again. You have no idea how true and well this struck me. Right here. Right in the feels.

…and yet,

MOST of the Robins. They forgot one.

Thanks, I didn’t need a heart anyway, it just leads to feels that SHATTER MY SOUL.
Peter Parker is legitimately the greatest hero in comics if written right.

There’s been a thousand reblogs, manips, and commentaries on this, so rather than like and reblog all of the ones I agree with, I simply leave you with:
My. Ship. Is. Fucking. CANON.
It’s not the start of zombies, clearly. But you should always have a pallet of water, a supply of canned food, and enough gas to make it to the state line. This is a nice reminder to be prepared.

“Was any of it real? Was I ever really Robin?”
“Of course you were.”

ALWAYS REBLOG, DAMMIT.
Batman said Steph is a Robin. Your argument is invalid.

I’m sorry.
You still have Legend of Korra
And Young Justice
And me ¬_¬
I feel bad about it but I’m not that excited about Korra or YJ, to be honest. :/ I mean, awesome stuff is happening in both but… I don’t know how to explain it.
GL:TAS is the only one where you can count on it ending with you happy. Korra’s been very dark and morally grey, and YJ is less than perfect. Now, being a bit depressing isn’t a bad thing for Korra, but it does mean that missing an episode is a bit of an emotional relief.
This guy was told by his Homeowners Association that he couldn’t fly the American flag in his front yard.

Homeowners Associations are jackasses. I always, always, love hearing how people screw them over.
One day I will just make a comic book only featuring queer and/or POC characters

Insta-sales.
I would buy it <3
That sounds like the kind of comic book I’d definitely want to read :D
Wouldn’t be hard, either. Justice League:
Batwoman
Wonder Woman(If Azzarello has her come out, if he doesn’t use one of the canon bi/les Amazons)
Alan Scott
Apollo
Starman
Any given LGBT hero(I want Bunker, but Tasmanian Devil or Renee would work).
Other than the lack of a speedster, that gives us the big 7. It might be a pain to write, since some of those characters would not work well together, but could be fun.
STEPH WAS A ROBIN
I see bunches of graphics and fanart on here that includes every main-continuity Robin except Stephanie. Here’s the thing, I love Dick, and Damian, and Tim, but the black-haired blue-eyed boy brigade gets old fast. And it’s getting really annoying to see great art and graphics with the exact same 4 people as every other graphic with Robins in it. Why no love for the Blonde Wonder?
